Why we Don't Get Into Trouble Using other people videos on YouTube

Someone asked "is using other people videos not copyright violation”

YouTube Copyright & Fair Use Policies:

Well here is my answer

Copyright is the first rule

Only upload videos made by creators or those they are authorized to use. Creators should only upload videos they have made or that they are authorized to use.

Ordinary copyright law has several features that permit quotations from copyrighted works without permission or payment, under certain conditions.

Fair use is the most important of these features. It has been an important part of copyright law for more than 150 years. Fair use is a right, not a mere privilege.

In fact, as the US Supreme Court has pointed out, fair use keeps copyrighted work from violation of the First Amendment, or the first creative state. Because of that, fair use is more important today than ever before.

Mashups, remixes, subs, online parodies, etc are allowed, sometimes you might see clips of copyrighted works (for instance, music, videos) in a YT video,

which the creator has no affiliation with the original content creator, For example, clips from Nollywood films might be used for illustration in a YT video and in the end, the video creator will still make his/her money.

Moreover, copyright law does not exactly specify how to apply fair use, and that is to original content creators’ advantage. Creative needs and practices differ with the field, with Niche, and how long you used the video.

Nevertheless, YouTube content creators have the right to use as much of the original work as they need to in order to put it under some kind of scrutiny.

Comment, critique and educational purposes as fair use law allows freedom of expression. So long as the creator analyzes, comments on, or responds to the work itself.

So believe me when I say you can make money on YouTube without creating your own videos, all you got to do is to learn how to recreate other people's videos and upload them, and as time goes on your videos will start generating revenues.

So don't think that we're in a kind of illegal work, because it is neither plagiarism nor copyright infringement. It's just that you'll have to learn how to use it to your own advantage.
