In my previous post I asked everyone to drop their challenges, but it seems like getting views and subscribers was the most challenge people face on YouTube. So let's dive into it.
First, you have to understand that as a YT videos re-creator, you're like a merchant, you're just using other people's videos to create your own videos, therefore since you're are not the one that originally creates those videos, you’ll have to sell your videos like Igbo business men, especially those in Aba, Onitsha and Alaba etc that will be fighting over you when you come to their line. There is one unique thing about these set of brothers, they all know that they are brothers that are selling almost the same thing and they cannot be fighting for customers, so some of them if you come to their shop for the first time if you look like a potential customer, they can sell some products to you without gain, and they will do everything within their power to make you feel at home.
Forget all these hyping of Igbo people, but if you're going to blow on YouTube, give your best in all the videos you upload on YouTube (because you won't know the one that will blow you) The video that blew me on my first channel, was this crazy speech video, Omo! I carelessly uploaded this video oh, with no description, no special thumbnail. But when I came back the next day and saw 10k views I was like WTF! I went immediately and changed everything and that was the day I believed that "impossible is nothing" Cuz' the views skyrocketed to about 57K views just that day. Through that video, that channel's subscribers moved from about 700 Subs to about 6k Subs in a month. But that was luck then, Cuz YouTube has passed that era of people blowing up on YouTube without getting their videos and the content of their videos right. So in essence, give your best in all the videos you publish, instead of you to be uploading daily but the content of the video will be shitty, it is better you upload once a week and pour everything in that video, not all people like to subscribe to every channel they watch their videos. So you got to show them that you're different from all those channels they have been viewing their videos. And once they can trust you by clicking the subscription button, you'll see them and their friends coming back and if they are coming back in almost all your videos, YouTube algorithm will start suggesting your videos to their lookalikes on YouTube.
So here are my 10 ways to get more views and grow your channel's subscribers (I won't be going into details though, let me keep the details for my students plus I think this post is getting too long)
1. Take YouTube SEO Seriously: Do your Keyword research before you upload, to avoid the video looking at you after two months of upload
2. Stick to your niche: Infarct if you're going to be jumping from one niche to another (you be mumu) Look no one would like to subscribe to "all weather channel" Even you will not like to subscribe to a channel where they upload football, food, choreography, facts and all kinds of video at the same time.
3. Re-brand your Channel after creating it: Just do some finishing touching on your channel so that your channel will look professional so that everyone that visits your channel's home will not only subscribe, but also watch other videos that you uploaded previously.
4. Upload Quality and mind blowing videos: Just give them what they want but stand out with your exclusive and mind blowing all time and you will see them running to your videos once you upload and stick to your upload schedule.
5. Create videos around trendy keywords: this one nah am not talking about this wan, but let me try. All you got to do is to create a video thait is around a keyword within your niche that is on its prime time.
There are a lot about YouTube oh! I can't type all here, so abeg no kill me because e no reach 10 again. My hand is already paining me.
